Ninee.ai is an AI-powered product discovery platform that helps users explore fashion products from thousands of brands across India and beyond. We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly, transparently, and in compliance with applicable data protection laws including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).

We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically through your use of the platform, and from third parties.

• Enable core features — saved items, collections, activity history, notifications, and profile management

• Send relevant communications — account notifications, product updates, and (where you have opted in) personalised recommendations via email
• Ensure platform security — to detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
• Improve our AI and platform — to train and refine our models using anonymised, aggregated behavioural data
• Comply with legal obligations — where required by applicable law or regulatory authority

We do not use your personal data for profiling in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without your explicit consent.

Ninee.ai's AI is the core of our product. It processes your search queries, browsing patterns, saved items, and stated preferences to build a contextual understanding of what you are looking for — without you having to describe it every time.

Specifically, our AI uses your data to:

• Match your natural language and image searches to the most relevant products across our catalogue
• Learn your style and price preferences over time to improve recommendation accuracy
• Generate and suggest curated collections based on trending interests and your personal history
• Understand the intent behind complex or conversational queries (e.g., 'something to wear to a beach wedding under Rs. 3000')

Your data used for AI personalisation is processed in a privacy-preserving manner. We use anonymised and aggregated signals to train our models at scale. Individual query data is retained for your activity history and can be deleted by you at any time through the platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

• With brand and retail partners, when you click through to a product, the destination brand may receive basic referral data, such as the product viewed and your approximate location
• With service providers, we work with carefully selected technology vendors for cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and customer support. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their function and are contractually bound to protect it
• With analytics partners, we use privacy-safe analytics tools to understand platform usage at an aggregated level. No individually identifiable data is shared for advertising purposes
• For legal compliance, we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or government authority, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users
• In a business transaction — if Ninee.ai is acquired, merged, or undergoes a significant corporate event, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance and ensure your data remains protected

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our services. Specific retention periods:

• Account data — retained for the duration of your account and up to 30 days after deletion, to allow for account recovery
• Search and query history — retained for 12 months and then automatically deleted, unless you choose to delete it earlier
• Saved items and collections — retained until you delete them or close your account
• Support communications — retained for up to 2 years for quality and compliance purposes
• Anonymised usage data used for AI model training — retained indefinitely in aggregated, non-identifiable form

You have meaningful control over your personal data. Depending on your location and applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations that require us to retain certain information
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

• Delete your activity — clear your search history and product queries directly from the Your Activity section of the app

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, and alteration. These include:

• Encryption of data in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256
• Access controls ensuring only authorised personnel can access personal data
• Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Incident response procedures to detect, report, and address data breaches promptly

While we do everything reasonable to protect your data, no digital platform can guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to log out of shared devices after use.

Ninee.ai is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will take prompt steps to delete it. Ninee.ai operates primarily in India. If you access our platform from outside India, your data may be transferred to and processed in India, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using Ninee.ai, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected regardless of where it is processed.
