For D2C brands, growth management matters more than increasing online sales. Businesses also require to coordinate operations, customer experience, retail expansion and brand positioning.
Godbillon’s experience in finance and operations at Lemaire and her role at Jacquemus help her become an expert in the growth of the company. As fashion brands enter new markets, it requires experienced leaders who help in business operations while ensuring consistency across different sales channels.
Lemaire’s appointment also indicates a required balance of brand identity with retail expansion. As Lemaire is focusing on strengthening its physical retail presence while maintaining its established design philosophy, other fashion brands can also follow the same route.
